Campus Ministry

Chapel

Once a week, NCC holds a chapel service for 45 minutes on campus. This time is filled with a time of worship and reflection, a message from campus ministry leaders, students, and guest speakers.
Chapel takes place every Wednesday from 10:30 - 11:15.

"You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden."
- Matthew 5:14

The City Youth Group

The City is a group of students and leaders who endeavour to “be a light” on the campus of NCC and in our world. The name itself - The City - comes from Matthew 5:14 - “You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.”

The City is organized and run through LifeHouse Community Church. We meet regularly on Friday nights from 6:30 - 8:30. The night consists of games and laughter, worship and teaching, prayer and community. We have student leaders, our Campus Ministry Team (CMT’s), who lead our break-out small groups on Fridays and help facilitate discussion and lead in prayer. They also serve in Chapel - either on the worship team, or to read Scripture, and even give the weekly message.

We have seen this ministry grow over the past 3 years seeing an average of 30 - 40 students come out on a weekly basis. The City is a safe place for students to be themselves and ask the tough questions of faith. In doing so, many students have come to know Jesus in a personal way and grow in their relationship with God. And to do this in community with their peers has been awesome to see develop. We are thankful to God for His unending faithfulness to us!
