Vice-Principal

Niagara Christian Collegiate is accepting applications for the position of Vice-Principal.

The Vice-Principal (VP) is a programmatic administrator of NCC and works on a team with the Principal and Student Services Director to provide leadership for the school day programming and for residence life. The VP provides spiritual leadership to faculty/staff and students and is responsible for supporting staff in integrating Christian values and practices throughout the curriculum and programming.  The VP's specific portfolio will be determined in response to the candidate's unique skills and passions and could include some combination of residence oversight, discipline, faculty PD, academic programming, and teacher coverage.

Music Teacher

Niagara Christian Collegiate is accepting applications for the position of Music Teacher.

Niagara Christian Collegiate is looking to hire one full-time Music Teacher for a one-year LTO position. This position is opening in May, 2018, but could also start in September, 2018 based on the availability of the applicant. This position includes four sections of music across grades 9-12 and two sections of middle school music.

The music position requires skills related in communication, planning, and organization as the music program is involved in several music events on and off-campus that would be coordinated by the music teacher.

History Teacher

Social Science Teacher

English as a Second Language Teacher

Niagara Christian Collegiate is accepting applications for the position of summer ESL Teacher.

Temporary: August 6, 2018 – August 31, 2018

Salary: $4000 per course

Hours of in-class instruction: 8:30 to 12:00 and 12:45 to 3:30 Monday to Friday

Job Summary

Instructors are provided with a package of materials for teaching, but are responsible for the preparation of lesson plans, tests, quizzes and assignments for their courses. They are also responsible for the marking and evaluation of in-class work and attendance. Other duties include: morning Christian devotional preparation; Canada Hour material preparation once/week for the whole group, Cultural activity participation as needed during the regular work day

Qualifications

In most circumstances the minimum qualifications shall be: (a) Bachelor degree and TESL Certificate with a supervised practicum; (b) secondary teaching experience, especially in ESL/EFL; or (c) Ontario College of Teachers Certification for high school students, with Additional Qualification in Teaching English Language Learners, Part 2

Tutors

NCC is looking for subject tutors in the areas of Maths and Sciences.  We are looking for OCT certified teachers or individuals with an educational background in Math or Science.  Tutoring at NCC takes place on campus normally between the hours of 3:30 and 8:30 pm.
