Food Services Staff - Cook

Job Description:

NCC has an opening for a full time Food Services Staff (FSS) beginning immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow department policies and procedures.

Prepare and/or cook foods required for meals.

Learn special diet requirements.

Collect money for meals from day students.

Serve food from serving lines to staff, students and faculty.

Operate equipment according to procedures.

Work with work bursary students who are helping in the kitchen.

Assist in receiving and putting away food and supplies.

Assist in maintaining preparation and service areas in sanitary conditions.

Wash and sanitize all work surfaces.

Clear tables/food carts, scrape dishes, pots and pans.

Operate dishwasher according to procedures.

Store clean equipment and utensils.

Empty garbage

Although this job description outlines many of the basic areas of responsibility of the FSS, it is not intended to be exhaustive or inclusive. It is understood that other responsibilities will be necessary from time to time.

The FSS will also work closely with all NCC Staff, Faculty and Administration to ensure the best possible experience for our students, parents and constituents.Evening hours and schedule vary and will include a weekend rotation. On-call fill-in work is available in addition to the regular hours.

Boys Residence Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a Boys' Residence Assistant to join our residence team at NCC! You will assist in the mentoring and supervision of the young men and women attending our high school, working closely with the Boys' Residence Team to build a culture of safety, discipline, and fun on dorm. The position is a live-in position which includes room and board, and involves evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Boys' Residence Team.
  • Supervise and interact with youth in a safe and compassionate manner.
  • Run creative activities to build relationship and culture on dorm.
  • Engage in a positive and nurturing environment for youth, including mentorship, discipline, and discipleship for the students in your care.
  • Help foster a culture of care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the students.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally, previous experience working in a student residence, youth work, youth ministry, or other related fields
  • Passionate about working with youth in a Christian environment
  • Ability to build rapport with students and their parents
  • Full G Driver's License
  • Canadian citizenship

Girls Programming Director

Prep Cook

NCC has an opening for a part time Prep Cook beginning immediately.

The Prep Cook will be responsible for: Assisting the cook with the evening meal, salad and noodle bar, prepping food as per the Safe Food Handling Requirements, while projecting a positive attitude.
To achieve this objective, the Prep Cook will also work closely with all NCC Staff, Faculty and Administration to ensure the best possible experience for our students, parents and constituents.

School Purpose Van Drivers

We are looking for dedicated and conscientious drivers to transport students to and from school, Monday to Friday, approxi 7:00-9:00 am, 3:00-5:00 pm, with potential for added shifts on weekends for extra curricular activities. We offer competitive wages and well maintained vehicles. These are considered part-time positions.

This position is ideal for retirees, or self-employed individuals with flexible schedules.

Drivers will be responsible for daily vehicle safety checks, communicating clearly and interacting with students, parents, school employees, co-workers and the public in a courteous and professional manner.

Drivers are required to hold a B or E class licence in ON, and have a clean driving record. Drivers will need to provide a vulnerable sector clearance and background check.
