Bookkeeper

Niagara Christian Collegiate is looking to hire a full-time Bookkeeper

Job Summary

The Bookkeeper will be directly responsible for:

  • All areas Accounting and Finance
  • Monthly departmental reporting
  • Preparing reports for the NCC Board of Directors
  • Charitable receipting
  • Tax filings
  • Accounts Payable
  • Payroll input

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the accounting system and from departments
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual report
  • Inputs data, verifies data, develops and maintains spreadsheets
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Ensure accounts payable is entered up to date and kept current
  • Process payroll in a timely manner
  • Responsible for monthly remittances
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are completed
  • Comply with local, provincial and federal reporting requirements and tax filings

Job Requirements Skills and Qualifications

Certificate or degree in accounting or business related field, minimum 3 years of progressive responsibility
Knowledge of Quickbooks is an asset
Have attention to detail
Deadline-Oriented
Must be able to multitask, be flexible and work well with people
Ability to exercise good judgement, show initiative, be proactive and prioritize work
Must abide by the NCC “Statement of Life and Conduct” and conform to the NCC “What We Believe” document

School Purpose Van Drivers

We are looking for dedicated and conscientious drivers to transport students to and from school, Monday to Friday, approxi 7:00-9:00 am, 3:00-5:00 pm, with potential for added shifts on weekends for extra curricular activities. We offer competitive wages and well maintained vehicles. These are considered part-time positions.

This position is ideal for retirees, or self-employed individuals with flexible schedules.

Drivers will be responsible for daily vehicle safety checks, communicating clearly and interacting with students, parents, school employees, co-workers and the public in a courteous and professional manner.

Drivers are required to hold a B or E class licence in ON, and have a clean driving record. Drivers will need to provide a vulnerable sector clearance and background check.

Supply Teachers

NCC is looking for subject tutors in the areas of Maths and Sciences.  We are looking for OCT certified teachers or individuals with an educational background in Math or Science.  Tutoring at NCC takes place on campus normally between the hours of 3:30 and 8:30 pm.
