Karis has chosen to study Missions with a minor in Graphic Design at Pensacola Christian College. Her dedication to Christian ministry has been recognized through several awards, including the Claude and Pauline Sider Scholarship and the Margaret Cowan Service Above Self Scholarship. She also received the Bert Sherk, Cynthia Haddow, and Barbara DeHeus Memorial Scholarships, all affirming her commitment to faith, service, and Christian education.
